Pet Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas (2026)

The short answer

Most big Las Vegas Strip resorts take dogs, through one of two programs: Caesars Entertainment's PetStay and MGM Resorts' dog-friendly rooms. Both charge per night, not per stay. Caesars caps each dog at 50 lb; MGM allows a combined 100 lb, which makes it the better choice for one large dog.

The cheapest Strip option is an MGM value resort (Excalibur, Luxor, New York-New York) at about $50 per dog per night. The most expensive is Bellagio, Aria or Vdara at about $150. On a four-night trip with two dogs, that is the difference between $400 and $1,200 in pet fees alone.

Casino resorts here are almost always dogs only. Policies below were checked in October 2026; confirm the fee when you book and pick the pet room type, because standard rooms will not take your dog.

Fees are per night and, at MGM, per dog; sorted cheapest first. MGM suites cost about $50 more per dog per night than the room rates shown.

Caesars PetStay: best for small dogs on a mid-Strip budget

PetStay is dogs only, two per room, 50 lb or less each, and your dog must be present at check-in. Dogs are allowed only in rooms booked as the "PetStay" room type, online or by phone. PetStay check-in is 4pm, and you need somewhere for your dog until the room is ready. Rooms come with a mat, bowls, treats and waste bags, and many properties rent crates.

MGM Resorts: best for one large dog

MGM allows two dogs with a combined weight up to 100 lb, so a single 80 lb Labrador is fine where Caesars would refuse it. You pay per dog, so a second dog doubles the fee. MGM properties have on-site relief areas and can arrange a dog walker or sitter through an outside vendor for an extra charge. At MGM Grand, Stay Well rooms are not pet friendly.

Vdara: best for a quiet stay

Vdara has no casino and is non-smoking, which makes it calmer for an anxious dog. It sits next to Bellagio and Aria, and charges the top MGM rate of $150 per dog per night.

Four Seasons: the option for cats

The Strip casino programs are dogs only. Four Seasons Las Vegas, inside Mandalay Bay, is one of the few Strip hotels reported to take cats as well as dogs, up to 25 lb for $75 per pet per night. Confirm directly before booking, and see our cat-friendly hotels guide for off-Strip chains that take cats.

Rules that catch people out on the Strip

A pet friendly room does not make the resort pet friendly. Your dog can use the room, a leashed route through designated common areas and the relief area, and little else.

  • No casino floor, pools or restaurants. At MGM Grand, dogs are kept out of the casino, pool and restaurants; the Caesars policy limits dogs to designated common areas on a leash.

  • Crate when you leave. Caesars requires a crate or kennel whenever the dog is alone in the room, and the dog must be crated or out during housekeeping, which must happen at least every other day (Caesars PetStay policy).

  • Barking gets you removed. Under the same policy, a dog that is excessively loud must be boarded off property at your expense.

  • The deposit is per night. Caesars holds a $100 refundable deposit for each night on a credit card, on top of the fee and the resort fee.

  • Heat. Summer pavement on the Strip gets hot enough to burn paws. Walk early morning or late evening, and never leave a dog in a parked car.

On a long trip, price a local day-boarding kennel for the hours you will be at shows or in the casino, and compare it with the nightly room fee.

Flying into Las Vegas with a dog

Check entry rules before you pay a hotel deposit. Every dog entering or returning to the United States, from any country, falls under the CDC rules held in the Pet Holiday Club rules base.

Would stop the trip

  • Dogs younger than 6 months cannot enter or return to the United States (CDC).

Before you fly

  1. ISO 11784/11785 microchip, 15 digits, implanted before or on the day of the rabies vaccination.

  2. Rabies vaccination given after the microchip, at least 30 days before travel.

  3. A CDC Dog Import Form receipt for each dog, submitted before arrival. If your dog has spent the last 6 months only in dog-rabies-free or low-risk countries, that receipt is the only CDC document needed.

  4. A pet booking confirmed with your airline. Space is limited per aircraft, and snub-nosed breeds face embargoes on many carriers.

What you need from your home country's vet authority depends on where you start. Build the full checklist for your route and airline in Pet Holiday Club, and read Pet Travel to the USA in 2026.
